Writing to Heal: Letting Nature Take its Course

Sunday, October 13, 2019 - 10:30am

We have all been affected by illness, death, divorce, or career change and there is nothing like a trip to the woods to energize the healing process. Writing to Heal is a writer's workshop led by Margaret Schiller that liberally applies the balm of nature to our emotional wounds for healing through inspired writing.

Writers of any persuasion - beginners, poets, diarists, novelists, songwriters, epic list makers - are encouraged to join Margaret Schiller for a hike throughout Limestone Ridge Preserve. We will be stopping at specific elements along the way to take notes and jot inspiration, before regrouping under the pavilion for lunch and an expended writing session. Writers will be encouraged to share their work with the other participants, though it is not required.
Please bring a notebook pen, an easy to carry sit-upon if desired, and an open mind and/or heart. Hiking and tick appropriate clothing is a must. Luncheon and camaraderie will be served.

Sign up required by October 6. The workshop is $15 including lunch and is limited to 15 participants.  All proceeds go towards RVC's efforts or preserve natural lands.
