Do you have what it takes to be a Country Idol? The Warren County Farmers’ Fair is looking for you to sign up for the 6th Annual Country Idol Contest! Or just come to listen and cheer for your favorite! The competition is Sunday, July 29 at 7:30pm. The winner gets a $300 prize ($150 to second place, $50 to third place). Open to anyone 15 years of age or older and limited to just 14 applicants, applications must be postmarked by or delivered in person to the Fair Business Office or sent via email, subject line Country Idol Contest, by July 24, 2018. Song selection can be country, country crossover or gospel. Questions? Celebrating its 81st year of providing affordable family fun, the Farmers' Fair continues through Saturday, featuring the Hot Air Balloon Festival and the 21st Annual Traditional Arts Expo as well. Highlights include carnival wrist band specials; motorized events (tractor pulls Wednesday and Thursday, Demolition Derby Sunday and Friday, and the unique Mud Bog events Saturday); a hay bale rolling contest; pro wrestling; music; Mass Hot Air Balloon Launches; and so much more!
