It's Back! Warren County's 84th Annual Farmers' Fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival

It’s that time of year for the 84th Annual Warren County Farmers’ Fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival. Warren County’s breathtaking countryside makes for the perfect escape and allows one to immerse themselves in True Americana.

Home to three balloon festivals, in conjunction with long time sponsor, Warren County Community College, the 22nd annual Hot Air Balloon Festival is launching every evening during the fair at 6:30pm (weather permitting). Tethered rides are on a first come, first served basis and full flights may be scheduled in advance. Fred G. Monster, a crowd favorite, will make an appearances on select evenings.

The Traditional Arts Expo returns this year showcasing fabulous quilting, tapestry, weaving and other fiber arts at the south end of the Fairgrounds.

The Main Arena will be buzzing with demolition derbies, truck and tractor pulls, and rodeos. Advance tickets are available via mail order for the Razor Z Rodeo on opening day, and the Demolition Derbies on Sunday and Friday. All other show tickets may be purchased at the Fairgrounds during regular Fair hours.

New this year will be the Team Penning Exhibition in the horse ring along with 4-H and FFA exhibits and contests.

The Fair offers Warren County residents a chance to participate in a talent show and the Agricultural Olympics. Opening day, July 30, hop in your hot rod and enter your car in the first Belvidere FFA Alumni & Supporters Car & Truck show. The Home & Garden Building will be open to all who wish to display their prized works, from painting to photos to felting.

The south end of the fairgrounds is dedicated to young children and tweens with the return of Kids’ Corral offering shows, interactive activities and contests. All activities at the Kids’ Corral are free of charge to Fairgoers.

Classic Fair favorites include an antique tractor show, carnival rides and funnel cake, roasted corn on the cob, fresh squeezed lemonade and homemade pies. Grab a beer in the Angry Erik Brewery beer garden, near the main gate and jam out with local entertainers.

Admission is $10 for adults, and $5 for children ages 6-12. Age 5 and under are free, as well as free parking daily. Save $1 per ticket on advance admission tickets, through July 29.
