The Warren County Community Singers will present two performances of their annual Winterfest of Music featuring the Children’s Chorus of Warren County on Saturday, Dec. 2, 7:30pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 300 Roseberry Street, Phillipsburg; and Sunday, Dec. 3, 3pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 40 East Church Street, Washington. Both venues are wheelchair accessible and have ample parking. The concert is free, but a good-will offering will be taken.

An ensemble of 7 inhabit the colorful gallery of friends and loved ones in Ed's life including the legendary acerbic Lehman Engle, the relentlessly peppy Marvin Hamlisch, and Uber-creative Michael Bennett.

Please join the artists of Gallery 23 for a Holiday Reception. Come enjoy refreshments and celebrate this magical time of year. Many of the artists will be in attendance for a meet and greet.

Victorian Christmas at Millbrook Village

Step back into another era where the toys and games didn't need batteries. Old-time decorations adorn the buildings while volunteers and park staff in period clothing demonstrate how the season was celebrated in years past. The kids can make a decoration or play with some of the wonderful old-time toys and games in the parlor. Light seasonal refreshments served. Don't forget to come back the next day for the old fashioned Christmas service and carol singing!

Well-Sweep Workshop: Holiday Centerpiece

Using holly and various types of fresh greens, create a delightful centerpiece for your holiday table. Then, you can add pine cones, berries and finish with a candle and decorative bow.

Belvidere's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Belivdere's annual Tree Lighting at Riverside Park (at the corner of Water & Market Streets) will include a visit from Santa, holiday music, hot chocolate/cookies/hot dogs and a trackless train! Remember to shop the local merchants.

Nonpareil presents: Rich Goldberg

While you dine, relax and enjoy the soft rock tunes of Jersey's own Rich Goldberg, covering more than 70 iconic artists, from the Beatles to Billy Joel and from James Taylor to Elton John.

Live at Plan B: Uncle Smiley

Uncle Smiley is at Plan B Pub! They play a wide variety of music from oldies to current hits, classic rock, pop, country and anything else you want to hear.

Celebrity Meet & Greet

Meet musical artist and television personality Kevin Jonas, former New York Giants Running Back Lee Rouson, and MLB Sports anchor Scott Braun! Centenary University hosts this event, sponsored by Dunkin’ Donuts of Hackettstown and ticket sales will be donated to the Joy in Childhood Foundation, the charitable foundation supported by Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins. Cost is $30 for adults, $20 for students and children under 12 are free. Complimentary light refreshments will be served, as well as entertainment by a six-piece band. Five lucky attendees will go home with an autographed guitar by Kevin Jonas with your admittance ticket.

Father Christmas at the Farmstead

Disney's Newsies The Musical: A Family Holiday Spectacular

Centenary Stage Company's production of Disney's NEWSIES The Musical. It is New York City 1899 and Jack Kelly and his ragtag of newsboys make a meager living selling newspapers on the city streets.  But when the prices of "papers" are hiked and the newsies are hung out to dry, there is nothing left to do but "open the gates and seize the day"!

United Way Gift Drive

Musconetcong Watershed Association 25th Anniversary Dinner Celebration

Join Musconetcong Watershed Association to celebrate its 25th anniversary! Help celebrate this major milestone for the organization as well as the 150th anniversary of the Asbury Mill it is restoring. Next year also marks the 50th anniversary of the Federal Wild & Scenic Act, under which the Musconetcong River is protected. Houston Person with The Dave Leonhardt Trio at Rutherfurd Hall

Houston Person is known as the “The Boss Tenor Crown.” He’s performed in the hard bop and swing genres, but most experienced in and best known for his work in soul jazz. Person is also known for his distinctive sassy sound and his expressive style of playing.  David Leonhardt, jazz pianist and composer, is a highly skilled and versatile artist with a passion to bring the jazz and creative music experience to as many people in the world as he can.

 

Young Performers Workshop Festival of Shows: A Class Act

The Tony Award winning lyricist of A Chorus Line, Edward Kleban, was determined to write both the words and music for a Broadway show, a goal unrealized in 1987 when he died of cancer at the age of 48.  Only posthumously would Ed's songs garner the acclaim they always deserved, in the biographical musical A Class Act, which dramatizes his often hilarious, ultimately heartbreaking journey, performed by an ensemble of 7 who inhabit the colorful gallery of friends and loved ones in Ed's life.

The Nutcracker at Centenary Stage Company

There’s magic in the air and a sparkle in every smile when The Nutcracker comes to town with the New Jersey Civic Youth Ballet. “This is the most enchanting fairy tale of a child's most unforgettable Christmas,” says NJCYB Director, Christine Taylor, “Through the narration; young children can understand a fanciful story, while the rest of us realize that this is truly a story of life, love, and the holiday spirit.”
