"Acting for the Camera Workshop" - deadline to apply

Centenary Stage Company and Centenary University offers “Acting for the Camera” workshop to the general public during the 2019 Spring Semester, which runs January 14-May 3. The class meets Thursday evenings between the hours of 4pm and 6:30pm. Registration deadline for the workshop is Friday, January 11. The cost is $250 per participant. Students may register online or by calling the CSC box office at 908-979-0900 x3.

Co-taught by Assistant Professor of Communication, Boris Gavrilovic and Adjunct Instructor of Theatre Arts, Christopher John Young the workshop will explore acting technique as applied to the technical process of filmmaking. In collaboration with Centenary University film students, the class will emphasize acting craft as set forth by the Meisner Technique while introducing acting students to filmmaking terminology and to the unique demands of on screen work.
