Saturday, July 29, 2017 - 8:00pm

The United Astronomy Clubs of New Jersey provides free public programs at the UACNJ Observatory in Jenny Jump State Forest from April through October on Saturday evenings. This week's program is: "Eclipses, Occultations, and Transits" with Gregg Waldron, NWJAA.

The astronomy presentation begins at 8pm in the lecture hall regardless of the weather, and is followed by stargazing on the observatory's telescopes until 10:30pm, weather permitting.

Groups are always welcome at the Saturday night programs; please contact them in advance if you wish to bring a group of more than 10 people. A donation of $50 for groups up to 25 people is suggested, with an additional $2 per person over 25 with a maximum of 50 for groups on Saturday nights during the public season.

Programs on other nights can be arranged with advance notice. Please email info@uacnj.org for details. For these special programs, which require additional staffing and extra use of our facilities, a suggested minimum donation of $75 for groups up to 25 people and an additional $3 per person over 25 with a maximum of 50 per group is requested.

Please check the website for a list of topics to be presented, directions, and for any additional information.
